fairy tale about a girl, who hanged herself in the attic. she was hanging there for so long, that her sweet scent enticed butterflies. these coated her livid body and now it looks like she was only a chrysalis, swayed calmly by a draught.
That's exactly why I dislike butterflies! No one realizes how creepy they really are.
As for the photo, I think it's great taking photos that represent fairy tales, especially the darker aspects of them. Though the rope should be a little higher up the neck; the face is usually turned upwards, even if the neck did not fully break and they were literally forced to choke to death. & since you're doing from the shoulder up, you can get a really good affect, especially at this angle--as it is it just looks like she's sad, looking down, and wearing a rather thick choker of threaded gold. Her eyes, if you redo the photo or do another hanging image, would probably only be slightly closed too--most dead people don't actually have their eyes closed and need eye-caps for them to remain closed (I'm a funeral director/embalmer).
See, my view is skewed when it comes to a dead body, being a funeral director/embalmer. There's nothing creepy or morose about this, I just see the inaccuracies with the anatomy. Like I said, it just looks like a sad girl standing there with a really thick choker/collar on. There's not even a hint of bruising around the neck, not to mention that with hanging victims there's an elongating of the neck, depending on how long it is before they've been pulled down.
So, from the perspective of someone who deals with death, I gave my opinion on how the photo could be better or at least bring a hint of realism to it. But, I'm glad you like it the way it is.
OH MY GOD. Honestly, how did you do this? It's absolutely amazing. I could never have conceived os something like this. A corpse is such an ugly this and though the model is still alive the caption is captivating. My heart hurts. How do I handle this? Ugh Jesus, just Jesus.
